Experienced Database Administrator to provide efficient and accurate administration, analysis and technical support for a wide range of IT systems, databases and application tools.
Heavily focused on delivering results, providing exceptional customer service and bringing with you an inclusive and a collaborative team approach, you will also be able to demonstrate further qualities that include:
- Previous experience working in database administration - both Oracle and SQL Server ideally
- Ability to work well in a distributed/remote team environment
- Ability to work on a range of client projects
- Consultancy mindset and ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Well-developed organisational skills
To be successful in this role we envisage you will have ability and experience in the following:
- Oracle database administration in large enterprise environments (12c, 18c, 19c)
- SQL Server database administration
- Knowledge of high availability processes (DataGuard, RAC, Always On etc)
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
- Database performance Tuning and Capacity Planning
- Database software installation and patching
- Perform database Health Checks
- Perform database Backups and Recovery
Furthermore, experience and competence with the following is highly advantageous:
- Amazon Web Services (RDS) / Oracle Cloud / Microsoft Azure
- UNIX/Windows scripting skills
- Oracle ODA experience
- Oracle Middleware, WebLogic
- PostgreSQL
- Unix/Windows Administration and Scripting
- Terraform
