Locally owned, our client is the leading provider of off-the-grid energy and lighting solutions. Their reputable service covers a wide range of clientele including corporate, government and industrial.

Offering a unique service, they have a highly skilled team of tradespersons including Industrial Electricians, Welder/Fitter and Apprentices working both on site in a very well equip workshop and off site, delivering to the needs of their customers.

A leadership opportunity has opened up in their team, perfect for a natural leader who can maintain both visionary and practical outlooks. True to the nature of operational roles, this position covers a wide range of objectives with the main focal points being on staff, procedures and sales.

As the Operations Manager, this position will support the business through a range of duties including:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and sales, identifying new business development opportunities and ensuring the best possible service is delivered across a diverse client base
  • Planning, coordinating and managing operations
  • Rostering, ensuring all staff are fully utilised
  • Offering guidance and direction to employees in their assigned tasks and to and responding to any employee concerns
  • Assist in HR activities including training, performance evaluations, promotions and disciplinary action
  • Ensuring the company and employees adhere and abide to relevant Health and Safety legislation and requirements
  • Developing strategies to improve overall quality and productivity
  • Fostering a motivating environment that encourages everyone to do their best

While not essential, a background in Engineering and/or Electrical trades would be desirable.
