Project Manger

FIXED TERM ROLE : 24 MONTHS

Providing support and services to families and communities across the country, our client is a genuine and trusted organisation that is focused on the wellbeing of New Zealanders.

Currently, they are looking to improve the IT infrastructure of the company and require a dynamic and seasoned Project Manager to take the lead in all IT projects within the business, nationwide.

Taking responsibility for all IT projects and their full life cycle, this role is the driving influence to ensure projects are delivered to scope, on time and within agreed budget. The Project Manager will also work in unison with senior team members within the IT unit to develop achievable IT project plans that align with the strategic vision of the company.

Working within values that exude integrity, transparency, selflessness and compassion, this role is one that not only heavily impacts the operation and IT functionality within the business, but flows through to ensuring internal stakeholders can become more efficient and time effective in their respective roles. Customer focus is paramount.

For such a pivotal role, we believe the ideal candidate will hold a myriad of skills and qualities including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 5+ years project management experience preferably managing IT related projects
  • An excellent understanding of project management principles and processes.
  • Financial management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive working relationships.
  • An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently using sound judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to influence stakeholders.
