Our client delivers business solutions to a wide range of businesses across New Zealand and Australia. Currently they are looking to add further depth to their Data and Analytics team with a Solutions Architect.
Focal points of this role will include:
- Designing the best solutions using a wide range of software focused integration and warehousing technologies.
- Leading the lifecycle of the project from discovery stage through to implementation. You will also be a key contributor to pre-sales activities and bid responses.
- Assessing options for best fit technology, lead design workshops and write technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap.
- Getting involved with investigating new technologies and further supporting the overall strategic direction and development of the practice.
To fulfil this role successfully, we envisage you will be a confident and seasoned Solutions Architect that will bring with you a multitude of qualities and high level of experience including:
- 8+ years of experience designing and delivering software solutions in multiple business contexts
- Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver digital products/solutions, and working collaboratively with technical and non-technical people at all levels in an organisation
- Experience designing and implementing data platform, storage, and analytics-based solutions at an enterprise level
- Experience delivering on large-scale, complex projects
- Demonstrated track record of successfully gathering and understanding business requirements, designing realistic and effective solutions, making effective trade-offs in design and implementation, and delivering high-quality solutions to ambitious timelines
- Experience leading software delivery in Agile teams, including coaching and development of team members
- Experience modelling and coaching others to use engineering best practices such as design patterns, customer-centric design, test-driven development, continuous integration, building high-saleable platforms, application cybersecurity.
- Understanding of best-practice data strategy and governance frameworks
Furthermore, you will also have an extensive technical ability which ideally includes the following:
- Experience in delivering Agile concepts (incl. Minimum Viable Product, Incremental Delivery, Agile Roles) and Agile ceremonies (incl. Refinement, Planning, Demo, Retrospective)
- Understanding of data lifecycles, process flows, warehousing, and front-end data insights / analytics
- Knowledge and hands-on experience across the full application stack with some of the following languages/frameworks:
- UI (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue, jQuery)
- API (Java, Spring, C#, .NET, Node.js)
- Databases (SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, cloud-managed databases)
- Cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- DevOps (Jenkins, Packer, Azure DevOps, Circle CI, Travis)
- Experience using event streaming technologies (incl. Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Solace)
