Our client has an exciting role available for a highly motivated Maintenance & Diagnostic Engineer / Fabricator.
Not one for the faint hearted, this position, working in conjunction with the engineering team, covers the care and maintenance of a variety of fixed and moving plant including compression shears, granulators, conveyors through to forklifts and heavy vehicles. This role will also cover the mentoring and training of entry level staff including trade assistants and at times, engineering graduates.
In short, this role will cover:
- Fabrication of a range of items/equipment and housing including bespoke parts and replacement components
- Welding to Unit Standard FCAW and GMAW
- Service, maintenance troubleshooting and repairs of a variety of industrial equipment including fixed plant, moving/heavy machinery
- Hydraulic maintenance on heavy machinery
- Mentoring and training of other staff including trade assistants.

We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Solid welding experience in MIG and Flux Core, ideally certified AS/NZS ISO 9606.1.2017
- Good general knowledge of mechanical repairs and maintenance, including sound knowledge of working on/with hydraulics
- Self-motivation and drive to achieve team goals
- Excellent eye for quality and detail
