Project Manager required for a substantial ICT/Data Cabling project based in Palmerston North.
Estimated to take two years, this multimillion dollar project needs a seasoned and confident Project Manager to ensure its successful delivery, and provide after care service, post-delivery.
Whilst it will be important to have a good understanding of the site, works and daily happenings, much of your work will be able to be completed remotely, just requiring physical site visits a couple of times per week or as needed.
Key Project Manager tasks such as planning, overseeing and reporting will be essential deliverables with further duties including:
- Tracking to ensure adherence to plans, schedules and budget
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to update them on scheduling or work progress amendments
- Training & guiding staff on site to ensure plans are met
- Assisting with quoting/tendering and account management where required
- Monitoring progress and providing regular reports to key stakeholders and management.
For this pivotal role, you will be able to draw on your previous professional and leadership experience which ideally includes:
- A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience, ideally within the ICT/Data Cabling Industry, or Electrical space
- Technical understanding of all facets of ICT/Data Cabling
- Project reporting experience, in particular with scheduling, work progress, quality and health & safety
- The ability to allocate tasks to others and train/guide staff as required
- A high level of organisational skills, ability to implement preferred operational processes and work within set frameworks
- Motivate and lead others to work within set structures and towards the common goal
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
