Due to their current Quality Manager / Health & Safety Coordinator planning retirement, it leaves a large gap within their business for a highly organised and efficient person to fill.
Focusing heavily on process and systems, this complex and diverse role will monitor the management system in place, assist with contractual and policy documentation and coordinate the Health and Safety of employees on and off site.
In particular, this role involves:
- Planning, Organising and Training of all 50 staff across 4 North Island branches in all relevant H&S requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining the H&S of all staff on and off site
- Facilities Maintenance
- Policy recommendations and completing contractual documentation
- Contract management
- Auditing
This is also a heavily self-directed role where you will be responsible for prioritising work load, ensuring all targets are met and deadlines achieved.
Because of the trust bestowed in this role, it is preferred that you have:
- Previous experience within an Engineering environment
- Strong written capabilities, are able to interpret legislative documents and initiate into work place policy
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety codes and requirements in a construction, engineering or high risk environment
- High Competency level with Microsoft office, especially Excel
- A methodical approach, are thorough and attentive to details
- Leadership qualities with the ability to induct and train staff
