Our client is a fast growing and fast moving company that is in need of a Senior Engineer to join their small team of highly talented engineers. You will be contributing to the development of the Android SDK, written in Kotlin. Producing and improving product features primarily in their Native Android SDK, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to our other SDKs where appropriate.
Bringing your exceptional interpersonal skills and industry knowledge, you will be offered an exciting role that will see you cover a range of functions and tasks including:
- Work on new and existing features for our Android SDK, written in Kotlin following Modern Android Practices
- Contribute to the technical design and architecture of new features
- Fix bugs, write tests, automate pain points, and generally contribute to maintaining the high quality of our software and processes
- Help coordinate the testing and release of new SDK versions
- Work with the rest of the SDK team to coordinate feature development across company’s various SDKs
- Respond to questions from the business, and their customers, relating to the functionality of their Android SDK
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that has prior experience with:
- Kotlin and Android SDK
- Web Services & APIs
- Testing frameworks such as Junit and Espresso
- Working with Git or similar tools
- React Native, iOS or Web development
- Customising Gradle scripts
- Android Library development
- MVVM Architecture & Coroutines
Further attributes and experience you will also have includes:
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools
- Excellent communication both within teams and with customers
- Familiarity with JetPack Compose
- Prior experience with client-side SDKs, particularly for enterprise customers
- Prior experience working and communicating in a remote environment
