Based in the Metal Recycling Industry, previous experience in grading/buying both ferrous and nonferrous materials is essential.
This is an established site in the Pukekohe area and has all procedures and processes in place. It is a fantastic opportunity for a natural leader to learn the business and grow into the role. Ideally, this is a role that will suit a confident people person who likes to take a proactive approach to work and enjoys utilises their initiative.
As this is an environment that relies on team work, this role requires a manager that can lead from the floor and one that can lead by example and roll up their sleeves with the rest of the team.
Heavy machinery and vehicles also make up a significant part of this yard and if you have the experience and licences/endorsements to operate a range of machinery including:
- Front End Loader
- Excavator
- Forklift
- Class 2 Truck
Would be highly desirable.
Being based in an active yard with numerous moving vehicles and staff, a high level of Health and Safety awareness is essential.
