Based within New Zealand's most prominent Security company, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and talented Bid Writer.

Taking charge of the Bid Administration, this role will be collaborating with key people within the business to ensure proposals, tenders and bids are executed to the highest standards.

Bringing your proven expertise and writing ability, You will also be responsible for:

  • Preparing compliant, concise, and compelling proposals / attribute submissions, company bid and sales presentations
  • Attending and contributing to relevant meetings (as required)
  • Developing a clear understanding of the tendering requirements, client hot buttons, constraints etc.
  • Liaising with, and assisting Bid Leaders to understand overarching bid strategy and in selecting suitable base material from which to create conforming responses.
  • Ensure submissions are developed in an efficient and effective manner; meeting review deadlines and high quality standards.
  • Undertake final page turns, final collation (including appended information and Pricing information), printing, and delivery (hard copy or electronic) of proposals / submissions.
  • Maintaining continuous improvement of proposals / submissions, and related system processes.
  • Assisting with and preparing marketing collateral, internal communications and company website and social media

Being a pivotal role within the company, ideally this position requires a person who brings previous experience as a Bid Writer / Coordinator (or similar) As well as an exceptional command of the English language and an eye for detail and presentation, this role also requires someone that has:

  • Proven skills in writing and editing proposal content.
  • Advanced formatting skills with ability to produce high quality document output, ensuring consistency across writing styles when working with multiple contributors.
  • Experienced in leading / participating in review meetings / final document review.
  • Experience of coordinating / managing and updating a knowledgebase system is also desirable.
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines with a cool, calm and professional manner
  • Proficient in the use of: MS Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
