IT Support Engineer

Currently, they require a highly experienced IT Support Engineer to offer technical support across the organisations’ multiple business units and branches.

On a day to day basis, your role will cover all aspects of IT support including applications, hardware, networking and infrastructure including:

  • Installing and configuring hardware and software
  • Solving technical problems
  • Managing service desk tickets
  • Installing, configuring and repairing computer hardware and software
  • Incident and problem management
  • Performing system administration duties and activities e.g. Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange etc
  • Working with providers to monitor and maintain systems and networks
  • Develop test scripts, cases, and plans to ensure any changes, enhancements or developments to business applicatons are successfully implemented.
  • Complete technical testing requirements as necessary e.g.smoke testing, regression testing

Essentially, this role is key in ensuring a more efficient and streamlined experience for all employees throughout the organisation. The main focus of this role is on people, and ensuring the support and solutions offered comes with a customer focused attitude.

To be successful in this role we envisage you will bring with you:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or professional experience in a similar role
  • Excellent problem solving skills using a logical thought process
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Customer focused attitude with the drive and motivation to deliver solutions and provide a high level of support.
