Our client is a prominent player in New Zealand’s Security Industry. With branches throughout the nation, they are a highly regarded and reputable brand. Currently, their Auckland office has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team and offer high level support to the Operations Team.

With a territory that covers the vast Auckland region, this role is a blend of office and on site work and offers the ideal role for those who don’t like to sit behind a desk all day. Client facing, extensive HR duties including recruitment and disciplinaries, staff management and completing SOP's are just a handful of the tasks this role will encompass.

Assisting with the management of a large staff pool (circa 400 employees), this busy and varied role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Provide extensive staff management support to ensure smooth operational function of the Branch
  • Respond to client requests and requirements, directing action and providing solutions
  • Support and manage staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Lead Health and Safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for staff
  • Develop procedures, specifications, systems and processes
  • Contribute to the financial success of the business
  • Develop and nurture productive and effective relationships with internal and external contacts

Being an operations and leadership position, we are looking for a natural leader who enjoys nurturing a positive and motivating work environment and has the ability to handle several undertakings at the same time. The ability to continuously re-prioritise will be highly regarded.

Utilising a broad range it will suit an organised professional with attributes including:

  • Proven success in an operational and staff management role – preferably in the Service or Security Industry
  • Understanding of logistical processes
  • Ability to build relationships quickly and foster a positive working culture
  • Calm and composed nature
  • Ability to foster an inspiring and motivated environment
  • Ability to make and implement good decisions

A current COA, First Aid Certificate and Full NZ Drivers Licence are requirements to undertake this role.
