Established and highly respected, our client is a market leader providing Facility Maintenance Services including HVAC Mechanical, Plumbing, Drainage, Electrical and Carpentry, to a wide range of clientele across multiple sectors.

They have a rare opportunity for an exceptional Regional Services Manager to join their Wellington branch to provide leadership, strategic vision, planning and implementation.

Relying on your well-developed business acumen and expertise, this role will draw on your:

  • Experience in managing teams
  • Operational ability, including scheduling work, providing business expertise and supporting staff where required to resolve issues
  • Ideally, a thorough knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations

This is the vital position that provides the driving force that will motivate the team, and ensure the company continues on its current trajectory upwards. Supported by a high functioning unit of technical and administrative direct reports, your portfolio includes extensive staff levels of employees, contractors and labour hire. With people being at the heart of this company, it is essential that you are adept at creating real connections, have the ability to navigate difficult conversations and can demonstrate a level of conduct that will naturally generate credibility and respect.

Overseeing an array of business functions, having an analytical and proficient understanding of business financials is a key requirement in this role. With such scope and responsibility, this position offers challenge and the real opportunity to succeed and add value to the company.

To be truly successful in this role, you will be highly competent across a full range of managerial commissions including:

  • Proven track record of enabling business success through strategic and operational excellence
  • Strong financial management skills and commercial acumen covering budgets and financial performance
  • Well-developed communication skills and a proven ability to build meaningful relationships, influence and win respect through delivery
  • Strong commitment to team leadership, training and mentorship professional development and support
  • Ability to think strategically, articulate concepts and ideas, and execute effectively
  • Ability to identify areas of quality improvement, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operations, processes and strategies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience working within OH&S guidelines

As well as the above mentioned attributes and experience, candidates will also require:

  • Current New Zealand Drivers Licence (Full Class 1)

While not essential, if you have management experience in a multi-discipline trade service environment (HVAC/mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry) or related field, it would be highly advantageous.
